Taco rice

Taco rice (タコライス, takoraisu) is a Japanese dish and a clear example of Okinawan cuisine. It consists of minced meat Tex-Mex style with lettuce, tomato, cheese and Tex-Mex chili sauce over rice. Basically a Mexican Taco coating the rice instead of tortillas.

This dish is very common in Okinawa and conbinis sell what would be a version "maki" taco rice with melted cheese.
KFC and Yoshinoya included in their menus taco rice Okinawa since 1996 and 2004 respectively.

Legend has it that this dish was invented by a local chef in the 60 in the town of Kin (Okinawa) in one of the foundations of American marine combining features Tex-Mex with the rice that is very abundant in Okinawa .

The truth is that since I came to Okinawa I love to eat Taco rice, especially rice Taco as the conbinis maki.

Jimami-doufu

The Jimami-doufu tofu is a type of sweet typical of Okinawa.

The Jimami-doufu is a peanut tofu taste which leads agar (vegetable gelatin marine), tofu, sugar, salt and peanuts.

The texture of Jimami-dofu is something different from the normal tofu, the Jimami-dofu has a texture somewhat more similar to mochi.

The peanut tofu served with a sauce made from seaweed, bonito, wasabi, sugar, soy sauce, peanuts and daikon.

The other day I tried it for the first time and the truth is that I like much more than normal tofu.

The Gyoza Cloverfield

Hotel Restaurant Kagurazaka has surprised customers with its new Gyoza giant.

The ingredients used are equivalent to the ones used for 100 gyozas currents.

One of the things that amaze customers is the enormous thickness of its mass, even double that of a pizza.

But to be pre-cooked its texture is soft, making them easier to ingest.

Many people have been asked the creators of this huge Gyoza really do usually ask people what, what they have answered that asks a lot more than what they expected and that apparently loves its customers to finish eat well-filled stomach.

Hamburgers Vending Machine


This little old hamburger has chosen to become a vending machine.
The restaurant has several options and "vending machines" in each of them can opt for soft drinks, bread or finally to bring the burger. The oddest thing about this is that removing the bread machine the rest is expended by the cook of the restaurant.

Ramen with Ice Cream or Chocolate

Today we speak of Zauo, a restaurant chain in Japan that are not common but it is not difficult to find.
