Onomatopoeia

Two weeks ago we discussed in class onomatopoeia, and the truth is that although I knew a few is a very fun to study, since it is curious to see how the sounds of things are not as they seem to Spanish, and Indeed when I went to England also had different onomatopoeia.
The Japanese onomatopoeia divided into two groups, "giseigo" for what is supposed to be the talk of animals, and "gitaigo" for noise.

Then I put some examples:

Giseigo
- The barking of a dog: wan wan ワンワン.
- The mewing of a cat: ニャーニャー nya nya.
- The crowing of a rooster: コケコッコー kokekokko.
- The lowing of a cow moo moo モーモー.
- The song of a bird: チュンチュン chunchun.
- The song of a crow: kaa kaa カーカー.

Gitaigo
- The sound of a little rain: パラパラ parapara.
- The noise of heavy rain: Zaa Zaa ザーザー.
- The noise by banging a door トントン tonton.
- A smile has no sound, but the Japanese refer to a small smile ニッコリ Nikkori saying.
- The sound of laughter ニコニコ nikoniko.
- When someone gets angry, anger say anger does イライラ.
- When someone speaks a language very well stranger, they say speaks ペラペラ pear pear.
- The sound of a drop ポタリ potari.
- The sound of pota pota ポタポタ many drops.

Between classes

Studying Japanese is not a matter of "plain sailing", being every day studying Japanese at the end quite exhausted. Here are two photos of what my classmates at the longest break we have about 10 minutes. The two photos are taken at the same rest, and I promise you are not getting the slept for the photo.

Two Chinese and two Bangladeshis.

Two Korean.

Japanglish

Once again I put a video of a Japanese program that attempts to teach the singers of the group " Morning Musume ", a group of pretty girls who likes to Otaku especially. Upon seeing the video I could not avoid laughing for a while, and remember that many Japanese really have the level of English is seen in this video (no offense to any Japanese). Besides a good laugh us out if we know some English, also serve to study Japanese, since the video is all subtitled in English.

How to Study Kanji

One of the worst nightmares of someone who began to study Japanese is its writing system, and more specifically the problem of knowing the meaning of the kanji, the different pronunciations and pronunciation depending on the kanji to be accompanied.

Here's a pretty interesting site where you can study slowly pronunciations and meanings, and others can do mini tests in order to test our knowledge.
Feel free to take a look at this page if you are studying Japanese.

Party at school

Last Sunday we made a big party at school to celebrate the Christmas holidays began. The party started at 2.30 noon and the school was fully decorated. Apparently the teachers threw many hours to decorate everything for the party and make timely preparations.

At the party, apart from preparing lots of food and drink (including beer) also made a few group games and also conducted a bingo where just by doing a line and you had a prize. Teachers had bought lots of gifts, when I did online, I took a room full of all kinds of gifts like DVDs, wine, women boots, stuffed animals etc.. Certainly left a fortune on gifts, since practically all of them were a gift.

The party was a lot of "sensei no tamago" as they are often called here, which means "egg teacher" because even teachers but are not practical for doing so. I spent almost the whole party talking to a lot of these teachers, so I did not eat almost anything they had prepared.
These teachers had some pretty interesting. A teacher who had been in Spain two months and he loved everything about Spain and thus was also studying Spanish. Another who studied Spanish in college and tried to speak in Castilian. And another that is quite pretty, and it seems to have problems with students for that reason as well that the day has come to our class practices we told everyone that was 30 years, but the girl at the party I confessed this actually was 23 years.

Another curious thing happened to me at the party is that as the logical, the party had a lot of people I did not know, and they were of a different kind or because they attend school to the afternoon shift, the case is that most school students are Asian, and it seems that the girls had ever seen I was amused to see a Europe there (either that or my hair style Beckham did I) and Occasionally I stopped a girl to make me a picture with her (I think in the end were about five).

Well, on 19.00 the party ended, but our class organized another party after that I will tell you soon as this post is already too long.

Here you have some pictures of the school holidays and some videos, as always you can see all the pictures from the party here .

Two teachers disguised by the box.

A teacher and two teachers dressed dancing.

Singing a traditional Japanese song.

Japanese Dictionary

If you were thinking of learning Japanese, but without putting too much effort on how words are written in Japanese, then I put the link to a fantastic free dictionary in which you only have to enter the word you wish you find your meaning and show their pronunciation and how to write.
If what you want is to find a word that you know how it is pronounced in Japanese, you can choose to write this word in Japanese or write it as pronounced.

I recommend this fantastic dictionary.

Learn Japanese

This video is an example of how are the first Japanese classes when you start to study Japanese. The classes are quite similar to the classes that I attend, but as I said earlier , in my classes do not speak any English.

Those who have never studied Japanese or are starting now ... I seem difficult classes?
