Vampires on Halloween

Last Saturday we had our Halloween party in Shibuya, and I say our, because this year as last year with me to take some friends to rent a bar just for us for just over two hours and then go to another club .

We started to send invitations to the party with one month in advance and prepare the costume. After many exchanges of emails between my closest friends here in Tokyo decided that we were going to dress up as vampires. We ended up buying colored contact lenses, molded teeth, makeup and blood. And decide all this already cost us enough as it decided that in terms of clothing, each bought their own.

The party had aimed at more than 100 people but the place is up to 90 people, so the last week began sending emails to people telling them they had not answered yet and could not do and that people who came could not bring friends etc..
We were just bad luck that on Saturday came a typhoon in Japan, so many people picked up at the last moment of the party and did not come but miraculously the rain stopped just 20 minutes before we meet everyone to go to the bar and We ended up being "only" 73 people.

As for our preparation, just say it was super fun. Nine friends at home of our dear friend Sarah which had undertaken to buy the most stuff. We were 4 hours before the party at home to start preparing. There were people who had not put a lens in life and we almost put them in order to numb the lens inside the eye. Others had technical problems with fangs and we had to do and undo the mold of the teeth 40 times until we fit perfectly. The make a success thanks to Sara and in between, because some pizza, beer and mezcal to whet your appetite.

In almost all the party costumes, disguises some very original. On the street they all wanted to take pictures with us ye even within the Camelot club where we were after our private party also, everyone taking pictures with us. Without doubt, this year we hit the costume and we had a great time both before and after the party.

Here I leave you with some photos from Saturday:

Tanabata Matsuri

The past weekend I was at the Tanabata Matsuri is held between Asakusa and Ueno.

The matsuri was very dedicated to children and was quite small, just a very long street running from Asakusa to Ueno with lots of shops.
If you do not know the story of Tanabata, you can read it here where you and I told it a few years ago, but as is typical at this time, I wrote my wish on a paper and hung up. If it does not rain tomorrow, 7 should be to fulfill my desire as legend has it, so hopefully it will not rain tomorrow so you can win the World Cup Spain : D

Fool for the championship in Shibuya

As you know all the Japanese team lost yesterday against Paraguay. I went with my friends to watch the game in Shibuya and the truth is that it seemed as if Japan had won the World Cup and even one hour before the match.
There were people in the shirt of Japan and the flag painted on her face everywhere, it was amazing how many people were on the streets, even more than at year end.

At the intersection of Shibuya met a lot of people screaming and cheering to Japan and when the light turned green people ran to the center of the junction and they would all jump in the middle of the crossing and singing. When the light turns red put people back where they had come to wait to put on his green light and do the same again.

Unfortunately Japan lost, because if this was before the game started, I can not imagine what would have happened if it comes to winning.

Here are some videos. The first and the second is before you start the game (the first one I recorded with the iphone) and the third is after the game.

Feeling howto

A couple of weeks for the first time I felt like a howto .

It was a hangover on Sunday when I woke 14.30 an email from a friend who said: "Today there's a party in Roppongi at 18.00, will you come?". I thought great, I'm still hungover all lying in bed and you are telling me to go to drink in a horas.Cogí the phone and answer: "What kind of party?".

I had already gone to bed when I get the answer to my phone, was a super long email in a formal Japanese with photos attached and a website address. It was an invitation to a party with discounts and some pictures that looked like the hotel lobby with plush seats, carpeting and floor lamps with these crystals.
My mother thought I quefiesta more cock, and he was super lazy to read a long email as to start looking Japanese and kanji that I do not know.

I went back to answer, "This is a party at a hotel?"
My friend replied, "No, it's a party in which I am part of the organization and we have a problem because there are not enough guys."
Big problem that I thought (read with irony), that means that there are many girls!. I spend my hangover was hit and went to the computer to look at the website and read carefully the email invitation.
It was a luxurious bar in Roppongi where he confesses to a private undertaking which had to be on the list to enter. Tickets for the boys for 5000 yen (2500 with the invitation) and table reservations for 10000 yen. Now I picture everything, had the full attendee list of aunts, so they knew they would not go just kids at the party.

I called my friend on the phone and told me that was part of the organization because his friend was a DJ and jabbed at the party too. And asked me to invite some of my friends.
I made a few phone calls but you know, Sunday at noon, half of my friends want Eraser or hear the word alcohol. Fortunately Oskar (Ikusuki) told me that if they came and after notice to put on instead of T-shirt I got to fix me.

At 18.00 we entered the local accompanied by my friend and her friend that introduced us DJ that night. Indeed, the place was like in the pictures, all filled with tables and seats all occupied tables full of girls.
At first it was a little embarrassing, since we were practically the only ones standing in front of the DJ table and surrounded by girls watching, plus we were the only foreigners at the party.
Luckily my friend and her friend DJ from time to time came to talk to us and we were making visits to the bar to order drinks.
When the other boys who worked there we saw that we were talking in the middle between us has always come talk to us and caught us and we had girls who were sitting and made us stay with them.
My friend came and went and gave us free drink tickets hidden. Once I refused to one of the guys that we wanted to sit down with some girls and the guy begged me to sit only 10 minutes to speak with them and then I could lift (I am a howto thought!). We sat with them and soon continued our visits to the bar.

We ended bebiendonos 5 or 6 free mixed drinks, talking to a few girls and knowing a couple of DJs and a couple of guys who are dedicated to organizing parties. Since that day, do not stop coming party invitations.

Definitely a new experience, making host a night at a local luxury.

Sanja Matsuri

This last weekend was her Sanja Matsuri (Festival of the three temples) in Asakusa .

The Sanja Matsuri is one of the shindoista matsuri (festivals) most important of Tokyo.
The festival is held in honor of Hinokuma HAMANARI, Hajin Hinokuma Nakatomo Takenari and who were the founders of Senso-ji Temple (Asakusa Temple) the third week of May in the temple of Asakusa.

The festival is estimated that there were over 2 million people to give over the 3 days of this.

The main attraction of matsuri is conducted in the third and last day of the festival, where they walk through the streets of Asakusa three omikoshi (portable shrine) which is a miniature representation of the temple of Asakusa.
These portable shrines decorated with gold cost about 40 billion yen to build and weighing about a ton, which are transported to the man for 40 people per omikoshi, but these people take turns, making if that day have carried out the chapels around 500 people.

Besides these three main omikoshi, over three days walk the streets of Asakusa omikoshi about 100 more than smaller sizes.
Besides all this, through the streets of Asakusa can see shows and food stores and so on.

Used to come to this festival many yakuza tattoo showing her body completely, but it seems that lately and do not seek so much to this matsuri.

I made the mistake of going on Saturday instead of Sunday but I still had a great time.

Halloween

Yesterday we celebrated Halloween in Shibuya with a lot of friends.
The party was organized by a friend of mine and me. We had rented a shop in Shibuya Nomihodai (open bar) and some pecking for two hours. The party was that I would take my friends and my friend to her friends and celebrate Halloween together. The thing that just putting together all of our friends ended up with a party of more than 80 people and most of them masked, so the party was genius.

Antonio, Paul and I, for our part, we leave the subject of costume until late (2 hours before the party), so when we went to buy the costume had many choices, so we just disguised as Pikachu, which seems it was a great idea, because they kept the streets to stand by us photos and we have even gone on a Japanese news page .
