Japonshop

Today I present a new Japanese food store, it is JaponShop.com . The store is about my friends who love Japan and are true specialists in their culture and cuisine. JaponShop is very easy to use, very Kawai and a large assortment of products imported from Japan. We can find the basic ingredients for cooking, Nori, Miso, to snacks and refreshments Mochis, Kit Kats and Ramunes. The philosophy of JaponShop is to introduce a more extensive Japanese culture and gastronomy in Spain and that is affordable to all, so is the online store with lower prices and cheaper shipping.

Another of the attractions are its authentic JaponShop Japanese recipes that are conducted by the Center Yui, a Japanese cultural center in Spain. Each month JaponShop publish new recipes, so that users get to know the store Japanese cuisine and its ingredients.

I personally I recommend it, for I have found that there is a huge variety of products at very good prices and that's very hard to get there in Spain.

1Gbps Internet

As already mentioned above, Internet connections in Japan are very fast when compared with Spain.
Actually there is a wide range of companies offering Internet service provider (ISP), but there are a few like NTT, Yahoo, or USE KDDI NTT being the most common (something like Telefonica in Spain) and then there are many companies that dedicated to give support to these lines or re-sell the lines.
ADSL connections are very old in Japan, since "only" reach 10Mbps, so the connections most common are "B flets" NTT ranging to 50 or 100Mbps fiber connections ranging from 100Mbps to 1Gbps! !

Yesterday comparing prices of NTT connections " B flets "100Mbps connections and KDDI" Hikari one "I realized the price was almost the same. So you do for a little less than 6000 yen (43EUR) might have a connection to 1Gbps. This made my eyes opened like saucers desiring a connection to 1Gbps, but first had to look to see if connections KDDI offered where I live (usually the problem is that NTT is everywhere, but other companies have certain areas where they have cables, so do not reach all sides). Call and I said yes, he could have this connection in my house. When you have got to make the sum of initial cost monthly rate + + support etc, knew that the price is more than 6000 yen, so I said no because they wanted it NTT was cheaper, then be wondering exactly what kind of connection had now offered me a discount of about 1250 yen per month, so I'm the plan again for less than 6000 yen. Upon hearing this I said I wanted to offer this connection.

The only bad thing is that in Japan are very slow since the flames until your house is going to make the installation and give you the service to the Internet. This usually takes between 2 and 6 weeks, and at home with KDDI and must bring a new cable to my house, I'm told that it took 4 weeks.
Now I will tell you next week if you notice a lot of connection between 100Mbps and 1Gbps.

New Nikkor lens

As you know, last year I bought the Nikon D60 . This camera is going perfect for me to understand how they work SLR cameras, but one of the things I always was complaining about was how limited was the zoom, the Nikon D60 comes with a 18-55mm lens which is what I have me or if you buy the camera with two lenses pack, the two lenses that come the pack are a 18-55mm and a 55-200mm, so it depends on whether you want to take pictures from near or far you have to be changed lens, which means you have to pay the two lenses when you want to take pictures.

When I bought the camera and knew I was too lazy to go change lenses, so I bought the pack directly that only carries the 18-55mm lens.
Since long ago I wanted to buy the lens' AF-S DX VR Zoom Nikkor ED 18-200mm F3.5-5.6G (IF) "which is like say the two lenses mentioned above into one, thus You can take pictures from far and near without having to change lenses, but what scared me was the price, as in the catalogs of Nikon, this lens is worth 110,000 yen (about 815 €).

The other day I saw on Yahoo Auctions Japan (Yahoo's auction site) that had many lenses second hand for sale, so I ended up buying me the lens I wanted for 47000 Yen.
The Japanese are very careful with all their belongings, so as I imagined, the lens came flawless, no scratches and works perfectly.

The people who sell on Yahoo Auctions Japan usually only ship products within Japan, but if you come to Japan someday, I recommend you to look at Yahoo Auctions items, since the products are usually sent a few days after winning the auction.

New Ajapon

Welcome to all the new Ajapon.com!

As you have seen the design of the blog has changed considerably, as the new mascot. I hope this more modern design yet simpler you all like it.

Some might wonder And why change the design now?. As many already know Ajapon was part of the network Blog Networks Media and therefore the design that had belonged to them. Since long time ago I was pretty tired of them because they had the blog littered with banner advertising, because they had more than a year without any improvement in the design and for many other reasons as crashed servers each week, missing information etc., so I decided to leave the group and move on without them, so I decided to change the design.
As you can see the new design does not have half the advertising banner that had the previous design, so that income and also be reduced to more than half, but as I said many times, Ajapon not see it as a source of income, but as my personal blog, so I do not care too much this topic because many readers will appreciate this change.

If the design has been also Ajapon remains is thanks to the guys at Railef that have been commissioned to design the custom template for Ajapon. Thanks to Angela Wu has designed the new pet, that for those who do not know it is a daruma which I hope you fulfill many wishes and thanks to my friend Raul who has coordinated the design issues with Railef. In addition to Raul I have decided to form an alliance to create a mini network of personal blogs that your pages will Showbitch , reference portal for the gay audience, his personal blog Mividay and one of my blog Vidablog.com, but dedicated to the world technology and the Internet.

From now on there will be more people varéis writing Vidablog.com some of my Ajapon.com and that there may be some posts by some guests. The first guest to write in Ajapon occasionally be Red Kawaii Minna no . So if any of you want to collaborate with some of the blogs do not hesitate to email me.

I hope your comments on the new design. If hacháis missing something, I would like to have something else or things so you can spare.

Kawaii Cats

One thing I like to do is look quite the list of most viewed videos of the week on YouTube Japan . I find it super interesting that there is almost always a video of animals among the most viewed videos, particularly cats. It is seen that the Japanese do seem very kawaii cats, and that is why we love to see cats doing monkeying around.

Here are some examples of the most viewed videos of the week and month:

iPhone

As is well known by all, in Japan the iPhone is selling so well as expected.
The iPhone 3G was released in Japan in July last year, as in many other countries. The phone had a data rate that began with nearly 8000 yen per month. In August, just one month after its release, Softbank realized that the Japanese were not surprised the iPhone too, so the data plan recess nearly 6000 yen.

Last week, Softbank announced it was launching a campaign called "iPhone for everybody" (for iPhone), which began last Friday (27/02/2009) and available until 31/05/2009.
In this campaign to make a 2-year contract with Softbank, the iPhone 8GB will be free and the 16GB iPhone will go for 480 yen / month.
Furthermore, the data plan has also been reduced to 4410 yen / month.

This campaign seems a little suspicious, because at the end of this campaign, the iPhone 3G will celebrate its first anniversary. Softbank Do you know that Apple will release a new iPhone in July? or maybe in September at the Apple Expo Paris?
