Yokohama is celebrating this year the 150th anniversary of the port, which was built on July 29, 1858, when Japan and the U.S. signed a treaty of amity and commerce, which led to similar treaties with other countries such as Russia, England and France.
The opening of the port of Yokohama to foreign cultures introduced abroad and helped the modernization of Japan.

To celebrate the opening of the port, Yokohama been held since 28 April to 27 September various events in the harbor area.

Around the port of Yokohama there tents set up where you can do and see many interesting things, but to me that most caught my attention the following privileges:

A giant robotic spider brought from France a group called The Machine . This spider could see the first few days walking in the middle of Yokohama, but now can only be seen in movements to certain very specific times of day, for a period of 20 minutes. Impressed me quite how big it is and how it is conducted.

Right next to the tent where the giant spider this is an area where you can see and read the history of Yokohama, both videos, by drawings as figures.

Another tent is sponsored by Nissan in which you can find a big screen high resolution of 154 inches, and the electric car created by Nissan called PIVO2 , which is a car that does not pollute and has a very particular way, which makes it able to rotate on its own wheels to park on side torque or twist the body completely for not having to tie up ever.

Another event impacting quite a floating ball 20 meters in diameter which is illuminated at night showing us the earth as seen from space and enlightening some of the problems we are creating the earth.

Finally there is another area with an old sailboat that represents the arrival of the first sailing to Yokohama.
