2007 Tokyo Marathon Online

My co- OpenSportlife the other day sent me a very interesting news. It turns out that there is a website called Online Asics Marathon , which has organized a marathon in Tokyo online. This marathon will be held on September 27 at 19:00 (Spanish time) and consists in pressing the space bar or click the mouse, to go running. The first to reach the goal to win a trip to Tokyo and Asics products, and there are prizes to the top 25 with delivery of material Asics.
In the same website there is a section of training to go to practice before the day of the marathon.

The idea of the contest I found very curious, and the site is well designed with Japanese environment, but this made the entire site in Flash do not see too well. See if any reader of this blog are encouraged to compete and win a trip to Tokyo.

Well it seems that the marketing of Asics have thought a good way to attract people.

Hi alain, q such?, Is the first time in a long time encouraged me to write. I am a regular reader to your blog. I ask you a question but this is not about online marathon in Tokyo but in the comment you miss flash. I say this because I use it a lot and I see this internet.Por criticized in that?. loki, criticism of the flash come through the incompatibilities you might have to see the page with some devices or browsers and requires installing plugins to the browsers. It's about usability.

Loki:
1 - As I have mentioned, you need to install flash to see the pages in flash.
2 - The search engines can not take hardly any flash pages, since they can not read most texts which puts into flash, so those pages are almost invisible to search engines.
3 - People with visual impairments, as search engines can not read just about anything you put on flash pages.
4 - flash pages weigh more than they are made with text and images, therefore take longer to load.
