The Taiko is a Japanese percussion instrument much like a drum or a drum, which can be seen in almost all matsuris Japan.
Taiko no Tatsujin (Taiko specialist) is a game based on a taiko drum which can be found in almost all arcades in Tokyo. The game is to follow the rhythm of a song with colored balls that appear on the screen. Normally the game is appearing red or blue balls around the screen and if the ball is blue in there to hit the outside of the taiko just as it passes a certain point, and if the ball is red you have to strike at the heart taiko. If the balls are larger, you have to do the same but with two sticks hitting together.

The machines have 2 Taiko no Tatsujin Taiko, to play two people at once, where the screen splits in two and the two people are playing the same song each in his taiko, although there is a version for super specialists which a single person game with two taiko, so you have to be extremely fast.
