iPhone

As is well known by all, in Japan the iPhone is selling so well as expected.
The iPhone 3G was released in Japan in July last year, as in many other countries. The phone had a data rate that began with nearly 8000 yen per month. In August, just one month after its release, Softbank realized that the Japanese were not surprised the iPhone too, so the data plan recess nearly 6000 yen.

Last week, Softbank announced it was launching a campaign called "iPhone for everybody" (for iPhone), which began last Friday (27/02/2009) and available until 31/05/2009.
In this campaign to make a 2-year contract with Softbank, the iPhone 8GB will be free and the 16GB iPhone will go for 480 yen / month.
Furthermore, the data plan has also been reduced to 4410 yen / month.

This campaign seems a little suspicious, because at the end of this campaign, the iPhone 3G will celebrate its first anniversary. Softbank Do you know that Apple will release a new iPhone in July? or maybe in September at the Apple Expo Paris?

Here comes the iPhone

The iPhone 3G will be sold in Japan starting tomorrow as in many other parts of the world.
Will not like queues in Spain, but in Tokyo, people are queuing up since yesterday, since the iPhone only began selling in a store in Harajuku Softbank. In addition, Softbank has limited the number of iPhones that can be purchased by one person.

This week not to walk out the news on iPhone, even at this very moment as I write this post are making a documentary about the iPhone, so I guess it will sell very quickly.

Although we all know that the iPhone does not do wonderful things other Japanese phones, the 3 bad things I see in this phone are:

1 - The Japanese way of writing is going to be much more difficult than with a normal phone buttons.
2 - No emoticons on iPhone. If you know the Japanese are fascinated to know that thousands of emoticons in each message.
3 - Enter the data plan, voice plan etc, the iPhone starts with a monthly fee of about 8000 yen a month.
