This is a 40-minute video that shows full of feelings perfectly as he lived the tragic earthquake and tsunami of March 11.

I'm sure you will have seen many videos loose but this one has attracted much because it follows a timeline from hundreds of recordings and has impacted me a lot. From the first few minutes where we put goose bumps to people who live in the earthquake to the tsunami tragedy which was showing the stark reality of that day that left more than 14000 lives on the road and not the cheap news on radioactivity that focused on very many media for days, when in fact the problem was and is in Japan is all the people who were affected by the tsunami.

Call for calm

I just want to make a post to let you know how they are living these days in Tokyo and that do not believe everything they say in Spanish news.

My friends and family call me from Spain telling me that the thing is super bad in Tokyo and that everything is in chaos.

The first thing is to differentiate between the areas most affected by the Earthquake, Tsunami and nuclear problems are Miyagi and Fukushima Iwae. What this happening in these prefectures has nothing to do with the state in the prefectures of Tokyo or further south.

With the issue of radioactive leak has been said that this morning there was a leak and had been detected 400mSv levels in the air. The news in Japan have made clear that this starts to be harmful to health but within 20km of the plant, so they have evacuated everyone within a radius of 20km and recommended not to leave their homes for people that 30km from the plant.
In Spain it seems that to create a more shocking news just have commented that there have been leaks that are becoming unhealthy, but it seems to have left him well, and people think right now everything is radioactive Japan.

They have also been reports that radioactivity levels had risen in Tokyo. This is true but it was a peak about 24:00 and within hours the level has returned to normal in Tokyo. Even at that high peak levels in Tokyo were still harmful to health.

With all this I close this issue and make clear that today, the only health danger zone is 20 km from the NPP.

As Japan is in chaos and there is no food anywhere, no gas etc ... It is true that supermarkets and food conbinis are substantially less than normal, especially at peak times. Some people think you are buying if they have to stay a few days locked in houses or for fear that all foods are carried northward.
Despite all this, you can find food without too much trouble. If you go to a supermarket that does not have anything, you can go to another and probably find more things. I went yesterday to the supermarket next door to my house at 19.00 (time point because many people out of work) and the shelves were almost empty, but I went today at 10.30am and I could buy everything.
The super Shibuya which is much larger than the super small in my neighborhood yesterday had everything, including fresh fish.

The restaurants are open almost all, Oskar, even asked for pizza by phone and brought it without problems, the butcher shop next to my home works as usual, when I go and buy meat for the same day, does that go missing saving.

With all this I make it clear that although the levels of food in supermarkets are not normal, you can buy food without too much trouble.

In gasoline I'm not an expert because I have no car, but I have friends who use bikes and if there are stations that have almost no gasoline or limit the number of liters per car, but other than making some glue you can get no problem.

Finally I repeat that in areas of Miyagi and Fukushima Iwae (especially the first two), they're having really bad, there are many people missing, another homeless, many areas without water and light and it was snowing today in some of these areas.
Further south such as in Tokyo everything is pretty good.

Electrical outages in Japan

Here in Tokyo everything is back to normal, but actually say that yesterday it was more normal than today.

Yesterday they announced that due to lack of electricity by the damage to power plants of TEPCO, Japan should reduce power consumption. Although some very large companies and stopped working on Saturday and the government also try to avoid power consumption by turning off many of the big screens located throughout Tokyo such as large TV's in the Shibuya crossing, yesterday announced that during the today have electrical outages in Tokyo, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Gunma, Chiba, Kanagawa, Saitama, Yamanashi and Shizuoka. These groups are divided into 5 areas, each area will have a power of aproximanadamente 3 hours.

The time of each zone is explained very well yesterday all media, although it appears that a change TEPCO hours late and in the end opted not to have power cuts to groups that were in the early hours of the morning .

Because of all these blackouts, trains in Tokyo have also been affected and there are lines completely closed during certain times of day and other lines which have simply reduced their services.

These outages do not affect central Tokyo, where there is no power cuts and trains run almost forever. Fortunately I do not affect any of the tracks and trains run safely to my house.

Apart from this, because the phones are working properly, no gas, water etc, so it may take a relatively normal life.

Some people seem to have panicked and gone to wipe out the food in supermarkets, making it very easy to see supermarkets or conbinis with very little food, but hey, it's not hard to find food either.

To all this, today is White day !

The Spanish Embassy in Japan NOT contact us

This post is simply to report that the Spanish embassy in Japan is not working as hard as reported in the media in Spain.

I live in Tokyo, not in the most affected by the earthquake, but still know very many Spanish who live here in Tokyo and the Spanish Embassy has NOT contacted any of us.
Makes me laugh when it comes out in the news abroad has reported that only know of four missing Spanish with which they can not communicate. And they gonna know if I know more than 15 Spanish here in Tokyo that no one has contacted them.

All of this is to say I am well recorded in the Spanish embassy, even I am registered to contact in case of earthquakes.

This news cadenaser can read the following:

Jauregui has said the government collects "all data" about the presence of Spanish citizens in Japan and has stated that "to date" is only aware of "four people in the earthquake zone."

Who have tried to contact people in the most affected by the earthquake do not know, but have not contacted the Spanish citizens who live in other areas I'm sure.

Then there is other news in the world that says:

Speaking on the Radio, Navarro has stated that the estimated "2000 Spanish" registered in the consular register of the Embassy, "only three reside in the area affected by the earthquake and tsunami," reports Europa Press.

Navarro has insisted that they are trying to contact them, but until now have been answered, but given the lack of news means "that are good."

Very well! I mean, in the absence of news from these people because we think they are good!

Other embassies in Tokyo if that is who have been working hard to contact everyone. A friend at the embassy in Mexico has been working nonstop since the same Friday and communicate with its citizens even by his page on Facebook.
The Embassy of France and Italy have been sending emails to citizens informing them of the news of the reactor and so on.

The Spanish embassy ... I start to worry, I think I'll be me who have to go to see if they are fine.

Missing in Japan for the Earthquake

To all who are concerned to contact friends and relatives in Japan or are in Japan right now and you need some help, information, view the status of trains and buses, etc. warning information. Google has created a page for all this .

The missing section I think is especially useful if we all use it, I mean if you are in Japan and you are well, register your name on this page and will be revealed in the results as you are well in case anyone is worried about you.
Of course this site also serves to record you're looking for someone which you do not hear.
