No tourists at Tsukiji
Unfortunately for many tourists who will be in Tokyo at this time, the auction of Tsujiki tourists will be closed from December 15 to January 17, as reported two weeks ago.
Apparently, Tsukiji had begun to be popular 10 years ago and it seems that is affecting many people of working at Tsukiji, since arriving in the morning many tourists taking pictures and walking down the middle of work areas and this makes the tasks of workers.
This decision has been taken as already mentioned, in the Christmas season is when there is more work in Tsukiji, so that tourists can disturb the middle lot.
All this I knew from a few weeks ago, which surprised me was a video I've seen in Japanprobe behave how some of the tourists at Tsukiji.
In this video you can see some drunken tourists touching tuna and even licking them. You can also see two other tourists climbing on vehicles used to transport the goods.
It seems a shame for many who come in this time and wanted to see the fish market, but seeing how people behave and Tsukiji is a really crowded with workers everywhere, it seems normal that is closed by these dates.
