Shinjuku Gyoen was built at the site of a private mansion of a feudal lord named Naito in the Edo period. It was completed in 1906 as Imperial Palace, and was redesignated as National Garden after World War II.
58.3 hectares, with 3.5 km radius, blending Japanese style, English and French in the decorations of the gardens.

The park visit him 2 days ago at the recommendation of a reader of the blog. It is certainly much nicer to Yoyogi Park and the style of people is also very different from the Yoyogi Park. In the Shinjuku Gyoen usually have many families with young children in the park and many elderly people walking.
The park entrance is worth 200 yen (1.30 €) but worth it to see how beautiful it is or going to lie in the grass.

If you want to know more about the park you can read more about him in English on Wikipedia where I translated some parts for this post. You can also see the exact location of the park in this map .
